About Onyx London

Onyx Gym, a holistic fitness studio in North London, was founded in 2019 by 3 fitness pros: Jack, Ibi, and Christian. The gym is unique in that it offers small group classes for every type of fitness goal; whether that’s working your muscles with Build, high intensity with Sweat, technique and cardio with Box, or improving mobility with Flex (did we mention their Osteopath too?!). We had the pleasure of hearing about how Jack manages 35+ classes, 150+ 1-1s, and a team of 10+ weekly with bsport.

The search for the perfect software - their challenges

Before bsport, Onyx had been using both Mindbody and Zingfit. However, they felt that neither software truly could suit the needs of their busy studio. Here’s what they struggled with the most:

Keeping members engaged starts at the point of first contact, where owners are able to tag new members instantaneously after they create an account. bsport allows Jack to manage everything within the platform, crafting not only beautiful, personalised emails, but SMS and push notifications too.

“We look at doing reactivation campaigns to try and target old members and because it doesn't cost us anything, even if we get two or three people who reactivate, that is extra revenue for us.”
