Crafting connection: our experience at PerformX Live 2025

There’s nothing more exciting than a space full of energetic and motivated individuals all in one place. Our team from the UKI market made their way to the NEC Birmingham for the UK’s biggest fitness event of the year: PerformX Live! After our first time visiting last year’s London event, we knew we wanted to return to the trade show floor. Return we did; bigger and better than before. 6 of our top UKI Sales team members got the chance to attend on the 26th-27th of February, brimming with energy and eager to partake in the event. A fulfilling moment for one of our bsport team members, Yasmin, was “realising and seeing that bsport has become a really recognisable brand in this space.”

The event and trade show offers attendees a chance to discover new brands and services, make connections with others, and attend educational talks from industry thought leaders. Our team had a busy two days; read on to hear more about our experience:

  • Meeting with industry professionals and sparking conversations about business growth
  • Showcasing out presence in the UK fitness SaaS industry
  • Discovering the fitness industry’s trends and direction for the future
  • Taking what we’ve learned back to headquarters to improve bsport’s relevance to our partners

Having the opportunity to share the power of the software in-person was an amazing way for our team to get to know fitness professionals and understand how bsport can help support their business.

How our team shared bsport’s value with attendees

Each of our team members had a unique experience over the two days, filled with focus, fun, and well-deserved rest after the end of the event! They got the chance to navigate the event venue and explore what it had to offer, give personalised demos, and get to know future partners. It was great for our team to connect with the UK fitness community, especially with the recent opening of our London Office, where we will have even more opportunity for face-to-face conversations with business owners and fitness professionals. What was most important for our Country Manager Mateo? “To be able to see existing partners and their experiences and how they’re happy, but also make new connections along with increasing the bsport brand.” The partner experience is something that begins with an initial connection and follows through with a dedicated Account Manager helping businesses succeed every step of the way.

Within their varying experiences, two things stood out that each of them held as key takeaways: getting to know gym and studio owners on a personal level, and getting a better understanding of the industry. Our team had a great time speaking with industry professionals and building connections, “showing people how we can automate their processes in their studios” says Ryan, Account Executive. This included demonstrating our smart marketing suite, automated payroll options, and member management which all prove to be effective time-saving tools for studios.

It’s safe to say that PerformX was an impactful event for everyone, as each got the opportunity to meet new people, expand their network, and reconnect with existing partners.

Learning from the industry

Not only did our sales team spend time educating and informing at our stand, they also had the opportunity to expand their knowledge by attending talks on various topics by industry experts. A key takeaway from this year’s PerformX is how competitive the landscape of fitness is, and how it is increasingly shaped by service.

This was notable in a few of the talks noted by our team, including “Hospitality in Fitness” by Jack Thomas from The Fit Guide, and “Understanding the 5 modern wellness consumers”. While boutique fitness is getting more competitive, the way that service is personalised becomes make or break for businesses. Consumers are not one-size fits all, and it is important to cater to different types of people and services, understanding in which ways they would like to be served. Successfully nurturing clients for studios means increased premium service and luxury in brand presence.

The bsport team took these learnings in stride,”really trying to understand where the health industry has been going and how bsport can scale alongside that” shared Sammuel, bsport Account Executive. The nurturing and sales process for studios can prove to be tough - that’s when having a good CRM such as bpsort’s in place to follow up is essential.

What we’re taking with us

This industry insight and understanding where the world of fitness is headed proves to be key information for those at bsport, and our presence at PerformX seems to fit right in with the topics outlined by industry experts. Just like every unique and personalised conversation our team had at the event, our platform is designed to suit every kind of studio/gym owner and small group personal trainer. bsport’s marketing is designed to target members in a timely and specific manner, redefining the expectations for personalisation and premium experience.

Meeting business owners in-person and in a one-on-one space gave us the opportunity to get to know the changing needs of studio owners is meaningful for bsport, as we want to know first-hand what those wants are in order to incorporate that feedback into our platform. By attending PerformX, we not only became more aware of market insights and emerging trends shaping the fitness landscape, but how that can positively impact future changes and developments in the platform to continuously improve it for our partners’ business success. Ross, UKI SDR,  saw this as his most impactful point. “What was most insightful was better understanding what studio owners are looking for.” The conversations and connections our UKI Sales team made expand way past the event itself, and that’s what events for bsport are all about. Account Executive Fackson put it best, with his favorite takeaway “being able to share bsport with Birmingham and all the people coming down here. Extremely looking forward to coming back next year and creating more connections.” We can’t wait to come back to PerformX to do it all again, be on the lookout for what we bring to our stand next year!

Did you miss us at PerformX? Now’s the time to mark your calendars to come meet us at FIBO this April 10th-13th in Cologne, Germany. See you there!
