About reformer.s

reformer.s is a Reformer Pilates studio with two locations in Karlsruhe, founded by Sandra Nagel. What began as a personal search for a functional, sustainable way to train quickly became a studio concept that blends movement, community, and experience.

More than a trend

The idea for reformer.s didn’t come from a business plan, but from a very personal experience. After years of bodybuilding, and after two pregnancies, Sandra realized that traditional strength training alone no longer gave her body the balance it needed. Reformer Pilates – something she’d only known from Stuttgart up to that point – completely changed how she thought about movement.

"I’m not doing this because it’s trendy. I genuinely want to help."

What convinced her most was the combination of deep-core work, strength, and body awareness. It quickly became clear: Karlsruhe needed a modern Reformer Pilates offering.

A studio as an experience

Only about two months passed between the decision and the opening of the first location. Choosing a space inside a shopping center initially seemed unusual, but proved to be a major advantage: free parking, walk-in traffic, and an offering that fits seamlessly into everyday life.

From day one, reformer.s was meant to be more than just a class studio. Sandra deliberately designed a holistic experience:

  • professional, informative booking confirmations
  • a studio space that opens early so clients can arrive calmly
  • a small bar with matcha and chilled drinks
  • space for conversation and community after class
"It’s not just Reformer Pilates for us – that’s what it was at the beginning. By now, it’s becoming more of an experience."

Why reformer.s switched to bsport shortly before opening

A few weeks before opening, Sandra was still working with another booking system. But the booking flow was complicated, technically limited, and simply not ready for the planned launch. Just two weeks before opening, she decided to move to bsport.

"I wouldn’t have been able to keep my opening date with any other booking provider."

The bsport team set up the platform in a very short time. Thanks to intuitive tutorials, Sandra could implement a lot on her own, while support remained available whenever needed.

What matters most to reformer.s is the branded app experience. Instead of being one studio among many on a generic booking marketplace, members experience reformer.s inside its own brand world.

"The branded app brings participants closer to the studio."

The Finn chatbot has also become part of day-to-day operations. Especially in the evenings, when questions come up spontaneously, having direct access to answers saves valuable time.

Growth with structure and data

When evening classes at the first location stayed fully booked, and the waitlists kept growing, the next step came quickly: a second location on the other side of Karlsruhe.

From decision to opening took just three weeks. Because the entire infrastructure already ran through bsport, the second location could be integrated within a few days – including cross-location credits, class filters, and individualized presentation.

Today, Sandra actively uses reporting features to keep growing reformer.s in a data-driven way. She analyzes, among other things, rebooking rates, active members, and purchase and booking behavior.

What makes modern studios successful today

reformer.s shows what modern studios are built on: strong community, strong processes, and an experience that keeps people coming back.

Her key takeaway for other studio owners:

"Don’t just think in classes. Today, people are looking for an experience – from the first click to the moment they leave the studio."
